The purpose of this blog is to help me formulate and articulate opinions on current social and political topics. I want this process to be informed by respectful debate and as such don’t want to impose too many rules. Here are a few that will guide my moderation of the site:
- Respect is important: expletives, name calling and insults don’t really add to the conversation and I reserve the right to delete any post that I feel crosses the line from forceful, humorous and colorful to degrading, insulting or offensive.
- Fact, opinions and fiction: Opinions are important and welcomed, and should be stated and treated as that. A fact is something that comes with a citation or other verifiable source content. Fiction, hypothesis, hyperbole and wit used in proper proportion, to illustrate a point or to add a splash of humour is also welcome.
- Judge Dredd Rule: I am the law – my blog, my call and final say on content, contributions and commentary.
